The Private Chartered Universities Forum (PCUF) has been established by the leading private universities of KPK to act as their collective voice. We exist to advance and strengthen academic standards, represent and promote the interests of colleges and provide our members with professional support services. I have the honour of heading this body as its Vice Chairperson for the year 2016.
Together, we aim to instil in our Association and member universities core values of Quality , Commitment and Dedication. It is thus important that we are at an equal footing with Public sector Universities, in the areas of reasearch funding, faculty development and other developmental projects. To ensure that a wider number of students benefit from high quality education, as part of our Corporate Social Responsibility, we grant scholarships to needy students. In the same vein, we hope to ascertain that our students put their degrees to maximum use by endeavouring to connect them with jobs in relevant fields.
While we work to promote our cause and the students' interests, our members jointly conduct co-curricular activities in view of their benefits to the organisations and their respective student bodies. On the horizon for the coming year are a National Software and IT competition, KP Sports Gala, Mega Job Fair and an International Student Conference.
Our success lies in working together. I look forward to your suggestions and help in our shared commitment to bringing forward a prosperous and peaceful Pakistan and KPK.
